Global Agenda to Adopt Free-to-Play Model

ATLANTA - April 7, 2011 -- Hi-Rez Studios today announced that "Global Agenda: Free Agent", the latest update to the Shooter MMO, will enable free-to-play access to all of the game's current playable content and levels with no purchase required.

The version 1.4 Free Agent update, expected to go live in mid-April, will support free play across all character classes through level 50. This update also introduces a new Dome Defense Raid as high-level player content, a CTF- style Mercenary PvP game-mode with pilotable robots, revised skill-trees across all four character classes, and other changes and content.

Bioware Releases Bounty Hunter Video

Bioware has released a video for the Bounty Hunter Class. Cryptic releases interim patch

Cryptic has released a small interim patch on March 8. Here are the patch notes: General Updates

Fixed a crash that would sometimes occur when attempting to change your bridge option while customizing your ship.
Stealthed Klingon ships should no longer appear on the MiniMap during PVP matches.
Fix for a specific crash that would happen when a team attempted to enter the same instance map at roughly the same moment.
We've addressed an issue where some items were getting duplicated unexpectedly.
During the "Infected" STF - players may no longer bypass uploading the virus.
The Tactical Cube in the first section of the "Infected" STF should be more aware of local threats.
Some players who were teamed were not getting proper mission completion credit when another team member completed the Beytan V patrol mission and should now be able to complete their mission. If you are still unable to complete the mission - drop it and re-complete the mission to fix this.

Cryptic Releases Schedule of Updates

Cryptic has made two big news items this week!

First, they've released a calendar of events (i.e. scheduled updates) for the months of March and April! View it here!
The basic jist is the following:
MARCH 4 STF: The Infected
MARCH 18-24 STF: The Cure
MARCH 18-31 Update 1 (Title TBD)
APRIL 1-7 STF: Khitomer Accord
APRIL 8-14 STF: Undine: Terradome
APRIL 22-28 STF: Children of Khan

Also, as you can see - March 4th they pushed out "STF: The Infected".

"Klingon and Federation players who have reached Rear Admiral 5 now have access to a new Special Task Force versus a deadly Borg threat.
In 'Infected,' you'll travel to the Sibiran system to investigate Starbase 82, a Federation space station that has ceased communicating with Starfleet. Cryptic Announces Star Trek: Online Release Date

Cryptic has announced the release date for Star Trek: Online here! Mark your calendars, and get ready for February 2, 2010. Also, the system requirements have been released here. Make sure you make the proper requests of system equipment for Christmas so you don't have any issues on release date!
